Ameloglyphics: A mutidimensional tool in human identification

Background: Dental proof may provide significant assistance in identifying a victim’s body and determine specific facts thus influencing the investigative procedure. Ameloglyphics or tooth prints symbolizes exceptional differences enlightening distinctive patterns between teeth of unlike individuals same individual, also males females.
 Aim: This novel study was performed to establish fact that enamel could be used identify an individual as such by help ameloglyphics. Materials & Method: 30 (15 15 females) were selected for study. The anterior every dried with cotton impression imprints obtained on cellophane tape which then transferred glass slide subjected photography. These photographs analyzed using Image Analysis Colorimetry. Results: colorimetry analysis showed two different variations i.e. Red waves depicted male Black females prints. results ameloglyphics helped gender revealed each had separate discrete type imprint.
